Save money, energy and resources with Green Built Homes of Florida

Green Built Homes of Florida, an incentive-based program offered by JEA and the Northeast Florida Builders Association, promotes the use of green building practices in new single-family homes constructed in JEA’s electric service area.

Green Built Homes of Florida logoThe program promotes resource-efficient home construction by serving as an umbrella for four of the state’s leading building standards. To qualify as a Green Built home, the home must be built to at least one of these standards:

Features and benefits of homes built to these standards include:

  • Increased resale value
  • Lower household operating costs for home buyers through reduced consumption of electricity and water
  • Healthier, quieter, and more comfortable
  • Construction standards verified through third-party inspected workmanship
  • Reduced environmental impact
