N. Main Street to Pulaski Sewer Improvement Project
Project Objective
JEA recently completed a project that included the replacement of 9,680 linear feet of 20-inch and 16-inch sanitary sewer force main starting at the intersection on N. Main Street and Ponce Boulevard and connecting to existing pipe at Pulaski Road. Please see the below map for details on the exact route of the pipe. Sanitary sewer force mains are pressurized sewer pipes used to transport sewage to JEA wastewater treatment plants.
Paving Scheduled for August 12, 2019
Our contractor will be returning to complete final paving on Ponce Boulevard, Gillespie Avenue and Fields Avenue on Monday, August 12th* (please see the project area map below).
For the safety of our crews and the general public, we will be required to temporarily close one travel lane at a time on Ponce Boulevard, Gillespie Avenue and Fields Avenue while paving is completed. Flagging personnel will be on hand to assist with traffic control during paving. However, please plan for potential traffic delays in the area.
The contractor will be limited to paving along Ponce Boulevard and Gillespie Avenue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to avoid high traffic periods at Oceanway Elementary.
