SagesGov: Electronic Plan Review and Document Digitization
JEA has to verify your account before you will be able to log into it. You will also get a confirmation email that you will need to verify your email account. Account verification by JEA is not instantaneous but will be addressed as quickly as possible. If it has been longer than 24 hours since you signed up for your account and you still don’t have access please email jeadevelopment@jea.com.
Search by project name and put in the availability number. If the project comes up use this project. If the project does not come up email jeadevelopment@jea.com and include the project name and availability number. We will add your project to the Sages program and let you know the new project number. For projects that need to be added we will add the original availability number to the project name for your reference.
You have not been given permission to see the details on the items that are grey. If you are the project owner contact jeadevelopment@jea.com and request that the project be transferred to you (projects that were established prior to Sages going live).
If you are not the project owner, contact them and request that they add you as a collaborator.
Go to the “Worklist” menu. If your projects are not listed contact jeadeveloment@jea.com and we will transfer them to you.
You can also go to the “Search” menu and search by project name, project number, or RE#.
Fire Hydrant Meter applications are not in Sages at this time. Please provide your Fire Hydrant Meter Permit and Application and payment to the Water Pre-Service Counter at 21 West Church St. for processing.
If reclaim irrigation is available in your area, you will need to apply for an Availability Letter (Step 1 in the Sages program). You will be provided a point of connection and the next steps to take to get your requested service.
If you are applying for a regular (non-reclaimed) irrigation meter, and you have existing water service with JEA, we are not accepting applications for irrigation meters in Sages at this time. Please provide your printed Residential Irrigation Meter Application to the Water Pre-Service team for processing.
If you are applying for a regular (non-reclaimed) irrigation meter, and you DO NOT have existing water service with JEA, you will need to apply for an Availability Letter (Step 1 in the Sages program). You will be provided a point of connection and the next steps to take to get your requested service.
The development team has worked very hard over the last 2+ years to ensure the program meets the needs of our development community. A couple of the largest benefits of this program are the review status availability and the tracking of all requests. Using this program will ensure that everything you submit is recorded, both for the benefit of JEA and for the customers. The rich history function allows you to see when you submitted an item and what the result of that submittal was. The software is programmed to send out reminder emails to the JEA staff when deadlines are nearing, to reduce or eliminate any projects “falling through the cracks”. If you, or JEA, has personnel turnover, you can seamlessly proceed without delay or interruption, as everything that has happened with the project can be found under the explorer icon.
When JEA goes live with this program we will no longer be accepting hard copies of plans. As you know the plans are just the beginning of the development process, and without them in the system the processes downstream can’t be properly executed and meet their deadlines.
The new system not only tracks all requests, but the resulting response. This helps all of us in so many ways;
- You will always know your request was submitted and came through the system
- You can always check the status of your request
- You can always check the result of your request
- All project requests are linked to the project so we all, development community AND JEA, can know what has been completed, what is outstanding, and what comments are made. This will result in more efficient processing and reviews
- Will result in an elimination of duplicate requests
Staff has been instructed to help you with any questions you have, but we will be helping you, not submitting it for you. For us to submit your request would mean you do not have access to the details of it. Besides JEA staff support, we have recorded and posted training videos for each topic tile, and we are conducting multiple Q&A sessions on the various topics and will be posting those for your reference as well.
