Bank Account Payments

Pay your bill on time, every time with AutoPay. JEA automatically withdraws your balance due from your bank account on your due date.

To enroll in AutoPay, your account must not have an outstanding balance or be in a payment extension plan. AutoPay will begin on your next billing cycle after you sign up, so please pay any account balance currently due by its due date. 

When we prepare your bill, your account balance will reflect payment has been made, although it will not withdraw from your bank account until your due date.

After you enroll, you can always update your bank information within your jea.com online account.

One-Click Credit Card Payments

Fast Pay is a convenient way to pay your JEA bill by credit card without logging into jea.com or having to re-enter payment information each month. 

By signing up for Fast Pay, you’ll get an email each month (separately from your eBill, if applicable) to confirm your utility payment amount. Click to confirm your payment and your utility bill will be automatically paid with the credit card saved in your account.

To set up Fast Pay:

  • From the Online Bill Pay page, click the Pay by Credit/Debit button.
  • Then from the resulting JEA Online Payments page, click the upper-left menu and select Fast Pay.

If You Have a jea.com Account

Pay By Bank Account

You have the option to pay directly from your bank account. Store your account and routing numbers securely in your jea.com account for easy payment each month. If you don’t want to store them, simply enter the information each time you pay.

While all checking accounts can make ACH payments, please check with your financial institution for ACH availability with other types of bank accounts. 

Pay By Debit or Credit Card

JEA accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express-branded cards through our third-party payment vendor, KUBRA®. 

SERVICE UPDATE: Effective Sept. 30, 2024, JEA online and phone payments made with a credit or debit card include a vendor service fee, based on the fee structure shown below. This is a pass-through cost charged by our payment processing vendor. Payments made by cash, check or bank account will remain fee-free.

Schedule an Online Payment

If you're not one for automatic payments, scheduled payments may be right for you! You can preschedule a payment up to 30 days in advance when paying with your bank account. 

  1. Click on Pay by Bank Account (or Manage Bank Accounts, if you haven't already saved a bank account).
  2. Indicate the amount you would like to pay.
  3. Indicate the bank account with which you would like to pay.
  4. Select a future payment date.
  5. Check your email for confirmation of your scheduled payment, and again once your payment has processed.

Scheduled payments may take up to one business day to process after the scheduled date. Your balance will not reflect the payment until the first business day after the scheduled payment date. If you need to cancel your scheduled payment, you can do so before 11 a.m. on the day of your scheduled payment.

If You Do Not Have a jea.com Account

JEA Guest Pay is the perfect solution for customers who wish to pay online but do not have a jea.com account, or for someone who wishes to make a payment on behalf of a customer. Use your bank account or debit/credit card to pay any account by simply entering a JEA account number.

Guest Pay is only available for customers with an active JEA account paying for utility services. Deposits to start service may not be paid through this option. A valid JEA account number is required.  

KUBRA Boost™ - The “Boost” feature allows biller customers to request payment assistance from friends and family members. Customers can share a system-generated link with friends and family so they can make partial bill payments for any amount on their behalf or pay the entire amount. This link conveniently takes them directly to the KUBRA EZ-PAY® account, where they can make payments. The “Boost” feature also allows roommates to share bill payments easily.

Call (904) 665-6000 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to pay your bill with a bank account, credit or debit card using our automated system. Payments will post to your account immediately.

eBill is the eco-friendly way to get your JEA bill wherever you are. When your bill is ready, we’ll send you an email with a link to view it from your jea.com account. There’s no need to keep track of paper statements. With your online account, you can view and download 24 months of past statements at any time. 

eBill helps JEA cut down on printing and mailing expenses, which in turn helps us keep our rates low. It also keeps paper waste out of the trash and helps promote a greener lifestyle.

  1. Under Bill Delivery Options, select "Enroll in eBill," then click Submit.
  2. Upon enrolling, your next JEA bill-ready notification will arrive by email at about the same time you would receive your bill in the mail. You will no longer receive a paper bill.

Make Payments Using Your Preferred Method

Once you've enrolled in eBill, we’ll send your monthly bill to the email address associated with your account. You can still choose to pay online, by phone, by mail, at a neighborhood payment center, or at the JEA Customer Center downtown.

    JEA MyBudget is is a bill management solution that helps level out your monthly payments by taking a rolling average of your last 12 bills. It makes budgeting for utility expenses a little easier because your payment is about the same each month. 

    JEA MyBudget is a great option if you live on a fixed income or want to avoid seasonal fluctuations. 

    MyBudget Eligibility Requirements

    • Must have JEA service at all of your service addresses for at least six months.
    • Must be in good standing and not currently in a payment arrangement.
    • Must have an internal credit score of at least 300.
    • Residential customers cannot be enrolled in JEA MyWay (Prepaid).

      JEA MyWay is a prepaid option for utility services. There are no credit checks, deposits or late fees, and you can start your account with as little as $50. 

      Once you’ve signed up for JEA MyWay, download the MyUsage mobile app to set usage threshold alerts and view balance and consumption information. To add money to your account, simply sign into your jea.com account or call us anytime. If you would prefer to add money to your account in person, visit one of our convenient payment locations.

      Give Back With Your JEA Bill

      As part of paying your JEA bill, you have the option to add a recurring monthly donation to Neighbor to Neighbor, a program that provides emergency assistance to customers overwhelmed by a temporary financial crisis and unable to pay their utility bill.

      To help a neighbor in need, check the box on your paper bill and designate a monthly donation to be added to your bill pay amount or complete the online Neighbor to Neighbor monthly gift form.
