MG Orender Appointed to JEA Board
2024-06-13
Jacksonville, FL - MG Orender, president of Hampton Golf, has joined the JEA board of directors. The Jacksonville City Council approved Orender’s appointment at its June 11 meeting.
“We are pleased to have MG Orender join JEA’s board,” JEA Interim CEO and Managing Director Vickie Cavey said. “His extensive experience will help us continue to advance in serving our customers today and for the future. We look forward to working with Mr. Orender.”
Orender fills a vacancy left by the departure of Marty Lanahan, who had served on the JEA board since April 2020 and previously from 2001 to 2005, including as board chair in 2004.
Orender serves as president of Hampton Golf, which owns and/or manages 32 golf courses in Florida, New York, Ohio, Minnesota and Tennessee. Hampton Golf also founded an HOA company that was sold in 2023 that managed over 30,000 rooftops, and a Lifestyles Division overseeing 13 community centers and lifestyle programing venues. Hampton Golf has grown to include more than 3,000 team members.
