You have choices. At JEA, we give you the option to choose the method of payment that best fits your lifestyle, and you can receive your bill in your email or in your mailbox. We also have ways for you to better manage your bill. Learn about your options today.

Ways to Pay Your JEA Bill

Pay Your Bill Online

Avoid extra credit card processing fees when you pay directly from your bank*. You will need your bank's routing number and your account number. These numbers can be found along the bottom of a check. Step-by-step instructions will walk you through the process of submitting your account information. You have the option to store your account and routing numbers securely in your account for easy payment each month. If you do not wish to store these numbers on, simply enter the information each time you pay. 

Remember, paying online with your bank* account means no extra fees! also accepts major credit and debit cards through our third-party vendor Bill2Pay, an Intuition Systems® Company. Please note, Bill2Pay charges a non-refundable fee of $4.95 for each credit and debit card transaction less than $400.

* All checking accounts are able to make ACH (Automated Clearing House) Payments, however, you should check with your financial institution for ACH availability for other types of bank accounts.


Schedule Your Online Payment In Advance

Planning to be out of town when your JEA payment is due? Or maybe you just like to plan ahead? You can now pre-schedule a payment up to 90 days in advance when paying with a bank account. 

  1. Log into your JEA account, and click on Pay My Bill.
  2. Click on Pay by Bank Account (or Manage Bank Accounts if you haven't already saved a bank account). 
  3. Select the account you would like to pay with, the amount you would like to pay, and then select a future payment date from the provided calendar. 

It's that simple! We’ll send you an email to confirm your scheduled payment and when your payment is processed. Your payment will be processed by 5 pm on the day selected. If you need to cancel your scheduled payment, you must do so before 11 am on the day of your scheduled payment.

Auto Pay

Our Auto Pay service ensures your JEA bill is paid on time, every time. Each month, you will receive your bill (by mail or eBill) as usual. Auto Pay then deducts the amount from your bank account on the due date indicated on your bill, relieving you of the chore of paying your bill.

Pay By Phone

If you have a checking or savings account or major credit card, you can make payments any time of day or night by phone. Call (904) 665-6000, have your bill and payment method handy, and follow the prompts. Payments are posted to your account immediately. For credit card payments, our third-party vendor Bill2Pay charges a non-refundable convenience fee of $4.95 per $400 transaction. There are no extra fees for paying with your checking or savings account.

Pay By Mail

Mail a check or money order along with your account number to JEA, P.O. Box 45047, Jacksonville, FL 32232-5047.

Neighborhood Payment Centers

When convenience is what matters most, stop by any area Winn-Dixie grocery store, Duval County Tax Collector's office or JEA authorized payment-only location (hours vary by location). These locations will credit your payment to your account within an hour. You must bring your JEA bill or have your account number handy when visiting any of these location. Ways to Receive Your JEA Bill


eBill is a more convenient and environmentally friendly way to receive, review and pay your bill. Instead of receiving a paper bill in your mailbox, your bill will arrive securely via email with a link to pay online, or even request a payment extension. If you ever need a paper bill, you can print past bills at anytime. 

By Mail

If you prefer to receive a paper bill in the mail, you're all set. You will always receive it by mail unless you sign up for eBill.

Request an Extension

We understand that sometimes you’re faced with unexpected expenses and you could use a little more time to pay your bill. You can apply for an extension online here on Our self-serve system will let you know if you qualify and give you a new due date.


If you are struggling to pay your utility bill each month, JEA MyWay may be for you. Just like a prepaid phone, simply put money into your account ahead of your usage. Several days before your consumption has used all of the money in your account, we will alert you to add more money. If the account runs out of money, your service is automatically turned off, and when money is added again, service is automatically turned back on - without the hassle or expense of late fees, on/off fees and monthly bills.
