Heat Pump Water Heaters

Item

Program Overview

These ultra-efficient machines move heat from one place to another rather than making it. They pull in hot air, use it to heat cold water, then push the warmed water out. This process uses much less energy than traditional hot water heaters. They’re also called “hybrid electric water heaters” because they automatically switch to operate as standard electric resistance heaters during periods of high hot water demand.

Get a $350 rebate for an ENERGY STAR® certified heat pump water heater as well as up to $550 in electric bill savings for a household of four.
