Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2019-10-25
Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. NOTE: In some circumstances, extended night and weekend hours may be necessary.
Roads Affected
Epping Forest Drive, Wensley Way
Project Objective
JEA crews completed repairs to a portion of the sanitary sewer line on Wensley Way near Epping Forest Drive. This sewer line was damaged recently by a communications contractor working in the area and had to be repaired to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves your neighborhood. Failures to sewer lines can potentially cause major sewer back-ups and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred within the City of Jacksonville rights-of-way and Epping Forest HOA roads and easements. For the safety of our crews and the general public, we were required to temporarily close a section of half the roadway on Wensley Way near Epping Forest Drive to complete the repairs. JEA coordinated this work with Banning Management, Inc. Residential Property Managers.
A partial temporary road was constructed around the work area to widen the accessible lane and provide residents access to their street and homes during construction. Residents were permitted to drive (slowly and with caution) through the project area.
Please see the project area map below.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the sanitary sewer line has been repaired, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
