JEA’s Facilities Department is comprised of Facilities Capital and Operations and Maintenance. Facilities is accountable for operations and maintenance for over 1,758 JEA facilities and 628 JEA buildings. We deliver business excellence by serving our business partners with a safe, financially sound, and high quality sense of urgency. Electric Facilities
JEA operates five power plant sites in Jacksonville, has an ownership interest in a power plant in Georgia, and purchases power locally from a solar field and a landfill gas facility. Diversity in fuel mix is very important in providing reliable, economical and environmentally-sound electricity.
