Special Board Meeting - Litigation Shade

The JEA Board will hold a special meeting for the purpose of holding a litigation shade meeting pursuant to Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes, and as requested by the Office of General Counsel.

The closed attorney-client session is expected to last for no more than approximately three (3) hours and is for the purpose of conferring with legal counsel to consider settlement negotiations and strategy relating to litigation expenditures for the following cases:

• City of Jacksonville and JEA v. Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia, Case No. 2018-CA-6197 (Circuit Court, Fourth Judicial Circuit, Duval County, Florida)
• Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia v. JEA, Case No. 1:18-cv-4295 (United States District Court, Northern District of Georgia), Appellate Case No. 19-11373 (11th Circuit Court of Appeals)

At this open public meeting the JEA Board will move into a closed attorney-client session pursuant to Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes, and only the following listed persons may attend the closed attorney-client session:
