Give Back to Those in Need
In recent times, people's lives have been disrupted in profound ways: from the loss of a job, the strain of medical bills, or lack of access to food and other basic needs. JEA is working alongside Northeast Florida agencies to create opportunities for those who are able to lend financial support to our neighbors in need.
Help Local Families Meet Their Basic Needs
More than 40 percent of Jacksonville residents are struggling daily to meet their basic needs - food, housing and utilities - and are living paycheck to paycheck.
United Way of Northeast Florida has created a way to help support these residents with the ALICE Basic Needs Fund (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed). At JEA, we believe in improving lives and building community, so we are encouraging those with the financial means in helping us help those who need it most.
If you would like to support utility payments specifically for JEA customers, please indicate your preference by typing "JEA Utilities" in the Memo/Comments field at the bottom of the online donation form.
More Ways You Can Help
JEA also encourages you to consider giving to these programs, which support basic needs and utility bill assistance funds. Any amount of support will help.
Support Struggling Families with Essential Needs
Florida’s First Coast Relief Fund gives local organizations who deliver essential human services vital funds to help those most burdened.
Provide Assistance for JEA Customers in Need
JEA’s Neighbor to Neighbor Fund lets you give a set monthly amount through your JEA bill. United Way agencies then use these funds to help pay utility bills for those in need.
Help Pay a Utility Bill for a JEA Customer You Know
JEA Guest Pay lets you pay a portion of someone else’s JEA bill with your bank account or debit/credit card. You will need the customer's last name and service address.
Community Resources for Our Customers
JEA would like to help connect you with community resources that may be able to help. These resources may provide food, financial assistance, employment, housing and/or medical assistance.
Do You Need Help Paying Your Bill?
If you or someone you know needs help with a utility bill or other basic needs, JEA is here to point the way to our community partners that can help.
