Add, Move, or Stop Service
New Customers
Welcome to the neighborhood! If you’ve never had service with JEA before, we’ll need to get you started with an account. You can do this all online and will just need a few forms of identification, a deposit, and the service address. We may even be able
to turn on service the same day.
Get Started Now
New Business Customers: You'll find everything you need to start your new service in our Business Resources section. Visit this page to learn more, or go to our JEA Business Minute video series for helpful tips on doing
business with JEA.
Moving Soon?
If you need a few days to move, you can keep your service on at your current address while you start service at your new address. Simply complete a transfer request (up to 30 days before the desired move date) and we'll take care of the rest.
A service activation fee will appear on your first bill at your new address.
Move Service
Add Services to an Existing Account
As an existing JEA customer, you can schedule service to start at a new address any weekday, excluding weekends and holidays. You can also schedule your desired start date up to 30 days in advance*.
This can be convenient during a move, if you own or rent more than one property, or if you want to turn on services at an existing address.
Next-day service may not be available for new homes because of installation or inspection requirements.
Add New Service
If you are not already a JEA customer, please use our New Customer Online Application.
*Utility service is provided to you on a credit arrangement. You are billed for water, sewer and/or electricity after you have used it. As a result, credit must be established by every applicant before service can start.
Stop Services
To stop your service, you will need to give us at least three days' notice. Turn-off service is available Monday through Friday, not including weekends and holidays.
- If you made a deposit, we'll apply it to your final bill.
- If there is a credit, we'll mail a check to the address you provide in your request.
