JEA has a responsibility as a utility to adopt rules and regulations governing its relations with customers as are necessary and which are consistent with the laws of the state of Florida and the rules and regulations of the Florida Public Service Commission.
Utility service is rendered to you on a credit arrangement. You are billed for water, sewer and/or electricity after youhave used it. As a result, credit must be established with every applicant. Commercial services must be started and stopped by the Commercial Services Department at (904) 665-6250.
By selecting I Agree below, you are consenting to allow JEA to check your credit and verify your identity. This allows us to determine if you are eligible to have your deposit waived. If you decline the credit check and identity verification, you must visit the JEA's Downtown Customer Care Center to pay your deposit and complete your start service request.
A connection fee of $10.00 per service will be charged on the initial bill.
Terms and Conditions
You have chosen to decline the credit check. To begin your utility service, please visit JEA's Downtown Customer Care Center. You will be required to pay a deposit. and provide two forms of identification. Specifically, you must bring:
One government issued photo identification:
- Drivers License
- Military ID
- Passport
- State ID Card
- Green Card
Plus a second form of identification:
- Birth Certificate
- Marriage License / Certifcate
- Social Security Card
- Voters Registration
