JEA Responding in Full Force to Tropical Storm Debby

2024-08-05

JACKSONVILLE -- JEA crews are working to restore outages as they occur in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Debby.

As of 4 p.m. today, electric crews had restored power for more than 71,000 customers. Crews will continue to work on restoration efforts as long as conditions allow for safe operations.

JEA did not sustain any Sanitary Sewer Overflows and no issues affecting water quality.

“We are grateful for our team members who are out serving our community in dangerous conditions throughout the storm,” said JEA Interim CEO and Managing Director Vickie Cavey. “We appreciate our customers’ patience as we continue.”

JEA’s Customer Solutions Center in downtown Jacksonville will reopen on Tuesday.

JEA encourages all residential and commercial customers to visit jea.com/outage or call (904) 665-6000 to report electric or water outages. Customers also can text “OUT” to MyJEA (69532) to report their outage.

Customers should visit jea.com/storm or JEA’s Facebook and X pages for the latest updates.
