Hurricane Matthew destroyed thousands of Jacksonville’s trees. That’s why JEA is partnering with Greenscape of Jacksonville to celebrate and replenish our tree canopy as part of the city’s Arbor Day celebration.
Greenscape will give away up to 4,000 trees - Red Maple, River Birch, and Cypress - in 3 gallon buckets. You can only take home 1 or 2 free trees per person based on availability and crowd turnout. So arrive early and enjoy the family-focused festival that will going on during the giveaway.
And
remember: when you plant your new tree, plant it well away from any power lines.
