Atlantic Boulevard at Silversmith Creek Water Improvement Project
Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2019-05-31
Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. In some circumstances, weekends and extended hours may be necessary.
Project Objective
A contractor working for JEA (TB Landmark, Inc.) completed construction to upgrade and replace a portion of a potable water main line on Atlantic Boulevard near Silversmith Creek. The contractor installed a new 16-inch water main on Atlantic Boulevard at the Silversmith Creek crossing. The old water line will be removed following installation of the new water line.
Construction Conditions
Work took place along the City rights-of-way and easements. There were times when access along Atlantic Boulevard is limited, as this work required periodic lane closures. Traffic was shifted during material deliveries, while staging the new pipe, and during removal of the old pipe.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin once the water line has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curbs, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
