Project Objective
JEA completed a project to install a new potable (drinking) water main along Attleboro Street between Burns Avenue and Cassat Avenue. The newly constructed water main is located along the City of Jacksonville right-of-way on Attleboro Street, and replaced the existing water main located along the easement behind properties on Attleboro Street.
In order to continue water service to properties, it was necessary to re-route individual water connections to the newly installed water main located in front of homes on Attleboro Road. This connection was made by a licensed plumber under contract with JEA and will be completed at no cost to the property owner. JEA will also warranty the plumbing work for two (2) years following the installation of the new water service. We notified residents prior to starting work on properties.
The contractor connected the homes to the new line, disconnected the homes from the old line and then complete restoration of the project area. Any areas disturbed during construction (pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks) affecting during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
