Project Objective

JEA crews will be replacing a 242 foot section of failing sanitary sewer pipe on Barnhill Drive from near the intersection of Pittman Road to the manhole located at 5675 Barnhill Road in front of the Three Fountains Apartments.

Construction Conditions

Construction will occur in the City’s streets, rights of way and easements. This work may require the removal of ground water with a pump system prior to any pipe installation. Residents that reside within the project boundaries will be provided access and are permitted to drive (with caution) within the construction area. This construction will require the use of some of the parking spaces in front of The Three Fountains Apartment Complex.

Temporary Road Closures

This emergency pipe installation will require the temporary closure of a portion of Barnhill Drive. Please observe all construction signs, detours, and general directions provided by the JEA crews working onsite. We apologize in advance for delays caused by this work.

Restoration of Project Area

Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer main has been installed and the dewatering system removed. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
