Project Objective
JEA crews are currently replacing a failing sanitary sewer manhole located on Battlegate Road near the entrance to the subdivision at Greenland Chase Boulevard.
Construction Conditions
Construction will occur in the City’s streets, rights of way and easements. Detour signs and barricades will be posted to guide vehicles around the construction area. JEA will be required to bypass the sewer flow around the failing manhole with pumps that will be required to run 24 hours a day until the work is completed.
Installation of Temporary Road
Due to your subdivision only having one entrance and exit, JEA will be required to build a single lane temporary road around the work site. This temporary road will be installed in the City right-of-way next to the JEA sewer pump station located at the entrance to your subdivision. The temporary road will be very narrow and bumpy so drivers will need to drive slowly with caution through the detour. Please plan ahead for traffic delays. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer manhole has been repaired and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, trees, grass, curb, or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
