Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2015-05-31
Roads Affected
Project Objective
In the next few weeks, JEA will be rehabilitating a 48-inch sanitary sewer main along Broadcast Place, Montana Avenue and Kings Avenue. JEA is completing the replacement of this large sewer line in segments each new fiscal year until we have this entire run of pipe replaced. The old pipe will be replaced using a trenchless technology that allows for replacing the pipe with minimal digging and disruption to the community compared with traditional sewer construction. The contractor has already started the work installing two large pipes above ground that will temporarily by-pass the sewage around the area of pipe that we will be rehabilitating.
Construction Areas
The contractor will be required to close Broadcast Place from the Duval County School Board building parking lot to Southampton Road during a portion of this work. The contractor has tentatively scheduled this work for May 11th thru May 15th.
Channel 4 employees will still be able to access Southampton Road for the duration of the project. Employees and guests will be able to exit the fenced employee parking area (exit) through the Channel 4 front parking lot and on to South Hampton Road. School Board employees and guests will not have access temporarily to Broadcast Place from the School Board building parking lot during this period of construction.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
