Caballero Drive North Emergency Sewer Improvement Project

This project has been completed. Below is the information provided to customers prior to the project start date. Completion date does not include final restoration of the project area. 

JEA crews will be replacing a portion of failing sanitary sewer line in an easement behind 6802 and 6812 Caballero Drive North and 6831 San Sebastian Avenue. As this sewer line is very deep, this work will re-quire the removal of ground water with a pump system prior to the pipe installation. 

Conditions During Construction 

While construction will occur in the City’s easement located behind residences, there will be some noise associated with the dewatering pumps. Removing ground water prior to excavation is necessary for the safety of our crews. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. 

Restoration of Project Area 

Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer main has been installed and the dewatering system removed. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
