Project Objective
JEA crews replaced a portion of the sanitary sewer force main on Cahoon Road between Lenox Avenue and Cassie Road. This portion of sewer main had reached the end of its useful service life and was proactively replaced to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves your area. Failures to sewer mains can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way, roads, and easements.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically begins 2-3 weeks after the sewer line has been replaced, tested and cleared for use. Any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be restored.
