Creighton Bluff Lane Sewer Improvement Project

Project Objective
JEA crews have completed a project to upgrade and replace the existing sanitary sewer force main and individual sewer service connections (to the property line) on Creighton Bluff Lane beginning at Mandarin Road. Valve boxes were installed for each individual service connection.
Construction Conditions
JEA installed the new sewer lines using the Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) method of construction. Directional drilling, or HDD, is a steerable, trenchless method of installing underground utilities. This method greatly reduces the overall project duration and is typically less disruptive to the community.
Construction occurred in the City’s rights of way, streets and easements. For the safety of our crews and the general public, there were times when the road will have limited access while the new sewer main and individual service connections were being installed.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin once the new sewer main has been installed, tested and cleared for use and the individual service connections have been made. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
