Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2022-03-04
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.*
*In some circumstances, extended hours and weekends may be necessary.
Project Objective
A contractor working for JEA (Callaway Contracting) replaced a failing sanitary sewer manhole at the intersection of Crestwood Street and Burton Avenue. This work was necessary to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves your neighborhood. Failures to sewer manholes can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily took place in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way and easements. For the safety of our crews and the
general public, we were required to temporarily close and detour traffic at
the intersection of Crestwood Street and Burton Avenue while this work wascompleted (please see detour map below).
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will typically take place 2-3 weeks after the project has been completed. Any existing grass, sprinklers, pavement, curb, gutter, driveways and/or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
