Drew Street Water Main Improvement Project

Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In some circumstances, night, weekend and extended hours may be necessary.
Project Objective
JEA upgraded and replaced the existing water main on Drew Street beginning at Ashland Street extending south to the dead end of Drew Street. When completed, this project will increase water pressure and provide improved system reliability. This work also included the installation of one (1) new fire hydrant at Sheridan Lane and Drew Street.
Construction Conditions
Construction will occur in the City’s rights of way, streets and easements. There will be times when the road will have limited access while the water main is being installed. JEA will maintain the flow of traffic, although residents may experience some minor delays.
Please observe all construction signs, detours, and general directions provided by the JEA crews working onsite. We apologize in advance for delays caused by this work.
Water Outages
Some customers will experience minor interruptions to their water service. JEA will notify customers 48 hours prior to any planned outages. Residents may also experience a brief (10 to 15 minutes) outage while crews transfer customers from the old water service to the new water service.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin once the water main has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
