Project Objective
JEA upgraded and replaced a portion of the potable water line on E. 56th Street from Buffalo Avenue to the end of E. 56th Street. These pipes had reached the end of their useful service lives and needed to be proactively replaced to ensure the reliability of the JEA water system in the area. This work also included the installation of one (1) new fire hydrant. This project will provide increased water pressure, improved system reliability and enhanced fire protection to the area.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred in the City of Jacksonville rights-of-way, roads and easements.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically begins once the water main has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction are returned to its pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
