East 19th Street Emergency Sewer Improvement Project

Roads Affected
East 18th Street, East 19th Street, Hubbard Street, Market Street
Project Objective
JEA crews are replacing a 500-foot portion of failing sanitary sewer main on 19th Street East between Hubbard Street and Market Street. This work will also include replacement of one sanitary sewer manhole.
Conditions During Construction
Construction will occur in the City’s street, rights of way and easements. For the safety of our crews and the general public we will be required to close East 19th Street between Hubbard Street to Market Street. Residents will be permitted to drive, with caution through the construction area. Please observe all construction signs, detours, and general directions provided by the JEA crews working onsite. We apologize in advance for delays caused by this work.
Detour Route
Traffic travelling east on East 19th Street will turn right on Hubbard Street, left on East 18th Street, left on Market Street and right on East 19th Street.
Traffic travelling west on East 19th Street will turn left on Market Street, right on East 18th Street, right on Hubbard Street and left on East 19th Street.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer main has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
