Eastport Road - Renne Drive Sewer Improvement Project

Project Objective
A contractor working for JEA (T B Landmark Construction, Inc.) completed a project to replace approximately 3,000 linear feet of aging sanitary sewer force main along Renne Drive between Sara Drive and Emuness Road. These pipes had reached the end of their useful service lives and needed to be proactively replaced to ensure the reliability of the JEA sewer system in the area. Failures to sewer lines can cause sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way and easements. 
Renee Drive Temporary Lane Closure - Sarah Drive to Rio Drive
For the safety of crews and the general public, we will be required to temporarily close and detour the northbound lane of Renne Drive from Rio Drive to just North of Sara Drive from July 15th to August 6th. Please see the work area and detour map below.
Motorists will be permitted to drive (with caution) through the construction area to their homes and businesses during pipe installation. Please observe all construction signs, detours and general directions provided by the crews working on-site. JEA will continue provide updates to the community on road closures and detours throughout the life of the project.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically begins 2-3 weeks after the new sewer line has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction are returned pre-construction condition.
