Formosa Drive Sewer Improvement Project

Project Objective
JEA replaced a failing sanitary sewer service at 3634 Formosa Drive. This repair was necessary to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves the neighborhood. Failures to sewer manholes can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, harm to the environment and roadway issues. This work required the removal of ground water with pump systems prior to construction.
Construction Conditions
Construction occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way and easements. For the safety of our crews and the general public, JEA was required to close a portion of Formosa Drive at the work location (please see work area map below).
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area takes place in the 2-3 weeks following the sewer service repairs. Any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways, or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to their pre-construction condition.
