Hanson Drive North Water Main Improvement Project

This project has been completed. Below is the information provided to customers prior to the project start date. Completion date does not include restoration of the project area. 

JEA will be replacing 1400 linear feet of the replacing a 6-inch water main along Hanson Drive North from Hanson Drive South to Westminister Avenue. When completed, this project will increase water pressure and provide improved system reliability. 

Project Update - December 30, 2016

The completion date of this project has been adjusted due to construction delays caused by Hurricane Matthew in addition to other unplanned emergency water main repairs in our service territory.  The anticipated completion date for this project is now January 31, 2017. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. 

Conditions During Construction

Construction will occur in the City’s rights of way, streets and easements. There will be times when the road will have limited access while the water main is being installed.  JEA will maintain the flow of traffic, although residents may experience some minor delays. 

Water Outages

Some customers will experience minor interruptions to their water service.  JEA will notify customers 24 hours prior to any planned outages. Residents may also experience a brief  outage (10 to 15 minutes) while crews transfer homes from the old water service to the new water service. 

Restoration of Project Area

Restoration of the project area will begin once the water lines are installed and have been tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
