Haverford Road Water Main Improvement Project

This project has been completed. Below is the information that was provided to customers prior to the project start date.

Roads Affected

DePaul Drive, Haverford Road, Piedmont Road

Project Objective

JEA replaced the existing water main on Haverford Road from DePaul Drive to Piedmont Road. This work included the installation of new individual water services (to the property line). When completed, this project will provide better system reliability.

Construction Conditions

Construction will be done in the City’s rights of way and easements. There will be times when your road will have limited access while the water main is being installed. JEA will maintain the flow of traffic, although commuters may experience some minor delays.

Water Outages

Some customers will experience minor interruptions to their water service. JEA will notify customers 48 hours prior to any planned outages. Customers may also experience a brief (10 to 15 minutes) outage while crews transfer from the old water service to the new water service.

Restoration of Project Area

Restoration of the project area will begin once the water lines are installed and have been tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
