Hickory Hill Drive Water Main Improvement Project

This project has been completed. Below is the information provided to customers prior to the project start date. 

Project Update

The project completion date has been extended several weeks to late July 2016. JEA water crews are sometimes required to adjust planned project work to handle other unplanned emergencies within our service territory. 
 
JEA crews continue our work to replace and upgrade the existing water mains on portions of Hickory Hill Drive, Red Holly Lane, Holly Hill Cove, Green Knoll Drive, Pinemeadow Cove and Perryman Lane East.
 
This work also includes the installation of new individual water services (to the property line) and five (5) new fire hydrants. When completed, this project will increase water pressure, and provide better system reliability.

Conditions During Construction

Construction will occur in the City’s rights of way, streets and easements. 
There will be times when your road will have limited access while the water main is being installed.  JEA will maintain the flow of traffic, although residents may experience some minor delays.

Water Outages

Some customers will experience minor interruptions to their water service.  JEA will notify customers 48 hours prior to any planned outages.  Residents may also experience a brief (10 to 15 minutes) outage while crews transfer your home from the old water service to the new water service.

Restoration of Project Area 

Restoration of the project area will begin once the water lines are installed and have been tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
