Hickson Road, Hickson Terrace, Luella Street, Spring Glen Road
Project Objective
JEA crews will be replacing a portion of failing sanitary sewer main near 5408 Hickson Road. As this sewer line is very deep, this work will require the removal of ground water with a pump system prior to the pipe installation.
Conditions During Construction
Construction will occur in the City’s street, rights of way and easements. A portion of Hickson Road will be closed to thru traffic. Residents will be permitted to drive, with caution, through the project area. Please observe all construction signs, detours, and general directions provided by the JEA crews working onsite. We apologize in advance for delays caused by this work.
Detour Route
Traffic traveling west on Hickson Road will turn right on Hickson Terrace, then left on Luella Street to Spring Glen Road.
Traffic normally heading east on Hickson Road will turn right on Luella Street from Spring Glen Road, then right on Hickson Terrace back to Hickson Road.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer main has been in-stalled and the dewatering system removed. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
