John Reynolds Water Improvement Project

This project has been completed. Below is the information provided to customers prior to the project start date. 

JEA will be replacing and upgrading the existing 4-inch water main with a 6-inch water main on John Reynolds Drive from University Boulevard to Wayland Street, Wayland Street from John Reynolds Drive to Selton Avenue and Selton Avenue from Waylan Street to University Boulevard.
 
This work will also include the installation of new individual water services (to the property line) and three (3) new fire hydrants.  When completed, this project will increase water pressure and provide improved system reliability. 

Conditions During Construction

Construction will occur in the City’s rights of way and easements.  There will be times when the road will have limited access while the water main is being installed.  JEA will  maintain the flow of traffic, although residents may  experience some minor delays.

Water Outages

Some customers will experience minor interruptions to their water service.  JEA will notify customers 48 hours prior to any planned outages. Residents may also experience a brief (10 to 15 minutes) outage while crews transfer your home from the old water service to the new water service.

Restoration of Project Area 

Restoration of the project area will begin once the water lines are installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
