Kernan Boulevard South Reclaimed Water Main Extension Project

Project Objective

A contractor working for JEA (TG Utility Company, Inc.) has recently completed a project to install and extend a reclaimed water main within the corridors of the I-295 and J. Turner Butler (JTB) Interchange, along J. Turner Butler Boulevard and Kernan Boulevard from JTB to Glen Kernan Parkway North. This new main will provide continued reclaimed water service to the University of North Florida and accommodate future development in the area.

Our contractor will be returning to complete final paving from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the following dates:

  • December 21, 2020 through December 23, 2020*
  • December 28, 2020 and December 29, 2020*

For the safety of our crews and the general public, we will be required to temporarily close the northbound lane of Kernan Boulevard from just north of Glen Kernan Parkway North to First Coast Tech Parkway South and the southbound lane of Kernan Boulevard South near Holzendorf Drive during paving. Please see the paving area map below.

Please observe all construction signs, detours, and general directions provided by the crews working on-site. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused by this construction work.

*Note: Dates are highly subject to change.
