Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Note: In some circumstances, extended hours and weekends may be necessary. Crews will not work on JEA holidays.
Project Objective - Project Update - March 26, 2020
JEA crews have completed the replacement two failing sanitary sewer manholes located on Kernan Boulevard South near The District on Kernan Apartments (3601 Kernan Boulevard South). Failures to sewer manholes can potentially cause sewer back-ups and unplanned roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Construction occurred in the City's streets, rights of way and easements. For the safety of our crews and the general public, we were required to temporarily close the turn lane and the inside-most north and southbound lanes near The District on Kernan Apartments at 3601 Kernan Boulevard South (see detour map below).
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer manhole has been replaced, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
