Lincoln Villa (Phase 2) Septic Tank Phase Out Project

Working in partnership with the City of Jacksonville, JEA will be installing new water and sanitary sewer lines in your neighborhood. This work will also include the addition of 10 fire hydrants to improve fire protection. 120 properties in your area will be eligible for connection to the system once the project is completed. Funding for this project was made available through several State and Federal grants awarded to the City of Jacksonville that are designed to improve the health of the St. Johns River lower basin through elimination of failing septic tanks. JEA will manage the construction of the project and operate and maintain the water and sewer systems once they are completed. Residents and businesses will be eligible for grants that will pay for all the associated connection costs on private property provided the customer meets and agrees to the minimum requirements.

Construction will primarily occur in the City rights of way and easements. Roads will have limited access while the water and sewer infrastructure is installed. Sections of driveways may be required to be removed and replaced. The contractor will attempt to have all driveways accessible during evening hours and weekends. In some cases this will not be possible due to the nature of the construction and equipment. Residents will be notified in advance by the contractor to allow for removal of vehicles prior to any work that may block a driveway.
