Losco Junction Drive Emergency Sewer Manhole Repair Project

Estimated Dates & Work Schedule

Anticipated Start Date: 2013-12-04
Anticipated End Date: 2013-12-18
This project has been completed. Below is the information that was provided to customers prior to the project start date.

Roads Affected

Great Western Lane, Losco Junction Drive

Project Objective

JEA crews will be replacing a failing sanitary sewer manhole at the intersection of Great Western Lane and Losco Junction Drive. This manhole is very deep and will require extensive dewatering to remove ground water prior to any work. Crews may also be required to install sheet piling prior to the excavation and replacement of the old sewer manhole.

Construction Conditions

Construction will occur in the City’s rights of way and easements. JEA crews will be rehabilitating the manhole located at the intersection and will be required to close the street to thru traffic while construction is in progress. These closures are necessary for the both the safety of the workers and the general public.

Residents who reside within the project boundaries will be provided access to their homes and are permitted to drive (with caution) within the construction area. There will be limited access to the areas around each sewer man-hole while work is underway. Please observe all construction signs, detours, and general directions provided by the JEA crews working onsite. We apologize in advance for delays caused by this work.

Restoration of Project Area

Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer manholes have been installed and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
