Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2021-01-29
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.*
NOTE: In some circumstances, extended work hours and weekends may be required.
Project Objective
JEA crews replaced a failing sanitary sewer manhole near 1030 Marcy Street. This work was necessary to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves the area. Failures to sewer manholes can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, harm to the environment and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Construction occurred in the City of Jacksonville rights-of-ways and easements. For the safety of our crews and the general public, we were required to temporarily close and detour a portion of Marcy Street between Burr Street and Kingston Streetto complete the repairs.

Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will take place typically 2-3 weeks after the sewer work has been completed, and the manhole has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways, or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to their pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
