McArthur Street Water Main Improvement Project

This project has been completed. Below is the information provided to customers prior to the project start date. 


 

Roads Affected

McArthur Street, Southern Avenue

Project Objective

 
 A contractor will be installing a new 2-inch potable water main down McArthur Street from Southern Avenue to the end of the street. One fire hydrant will be added to improve area fire protection. 

Residents along McArthur Street that reside within the project limits will be contacted personally by representatives from JEA or the contractor (Miranda Construction) to discuss connection options for each individual property. Construction Conditions

Construction will be completed in the City’s rights of way and easements. There will be times when roads will have limited access while the water main is installed but the flow of traffic will be maintained.

Sections of driveways may be removed and replaced to install the pipe. Residents will be notified in advance by JEA crews to allow for removal of vehicles prior to driveway construction.

Restoration of Project Area

Restoration of the project area will begin once the water lines are installed and have been tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing grass, curb, swales, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its preconstruction condition.
