Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2023-01-31
Monday thorough Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.*
*In some circumstances, extended hours and weekends may be required.
Project Objective
JEA upgraded and replaced portions of the existing water main on Palm Island Road and Lagoon Drive. These sections of water main had reached the end of their useful service lives and were proactively replaced to ensure the reliability of the water system that serves the area. We also installed four (4) new fire hydrants.
This project will provide increased water pressure, enhanced fire protection and improved system reliability.
Construction Conditions
Work primarily occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way, roads, and easements.
Restoration of the Work Area
Restoration of the project area will typically begin 2-3 weeks after the new water main has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
