Shadehill Road Emergency Sewer Repair Project

Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. NOTE: In some circumstances, extended hours and weekends may be necessary.
Project Objective
JEA crews replaced a portion of failing sanitary sewer line and manhole on Shadehill Road near Alderfer Springs Drive. This work was completed to increase the reliability of the sewer system that serves the Bartram Springs neighborhood. Failures to sewer lines can potentially cause major sewer back-ups and roadway issues.
Crews completed the repair using a trenchless lining technology that allows for rehabilitation of the existing pipe and manhole without extensive excavation. Restoration of the project area will follow.
Construction Areas
For the safety of our crews and the general public, we were required to temporarily close a portion of Shadehill Road near Alderfer Springs Drive from December 5th to December 20th to complete the repairs.

Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer main has been repaired, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
