Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2024-01-31
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.*
*In some circumstances, extended hours and weekends may be required. JEA crews will not be working on JEA Holidays (12/25, 12/26, 1/1).
Project Objective
JEA crews replaced a portion of the sanitary sewer main near 673 Shipwatch Drive East. This work was necessary to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves your neighborhood. Failures to sewer mains can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way, roads, and easements.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically begins 2-3 weeks after the new sewer main has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
