Claremont Avenue, Spring Park Road, Stanley Street, Stanwood Avenue

Project Objective

JEA will be replacing the existing water main on Stanwood Avenue from Claremont Avenue to Stanley Street and Stanley Street from Stanwood Avenue to Spring Park Road.

This project will include the installation of new individual water services (to the property line) and replacing one fire hydrant. When completed, this project will increase area water pressure, provide better system reliability and fire protection.

Construction Conditions

Construction will be done in the City rights of way and easements. There will be times when roads will have limited access while the water main is installed but the flow of traffic will be maintained. Sections of driveways will be removed and replaced to install the pipe. Residents will be notified in advance by crews to allow for removal of vehicles prior to driveway construction.

Planned Water Outages and Restoration of Project Area

Some customers will experience minor interruptions to their water service. JEA will notify customers 48 hours prior to any planned outages. Residents may also experience a brief (10 to 15 minutes) outage while crews transfer your home from the old water service to the new water service.

Restoration of the project area will begin once the water lines are installed and have been tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing grass, curb, swales, driveways or sidewalks affected during con-struction will be returned to its preconstruction condition.
