University Club Boulevard Sewer Improvement Project

Project Objective
JEA crews recently completed a temporary repair to a failing sanitary sewer manhole on University Club Boulevard North at Piney Creek Drive West. Crews will be returning in the next few days to install a new (permanent) sanitary sewer manhole at that location. Failures to sewer manholes can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues. Once completed, this project will increase the reliability of the sewer system.
Construction Conditions
For the safety of our crews and the general public, we will be required to temporarily close University Club Boulevard North between University Boulevard and University Club Boulevard while this work is being completed. Residents will be provided access and permitted to drive (with caution) through the construction area. Please see the work area map below.
Construction will occur in the City’s streets, rights of way and easements. Please observe all construction signs, detours, and general directions provided by the crews working on-site. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused by this construction work.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area began after the new sewer line has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction are returned pre-construction condition.
