W. Cisco Drive - Circuit 333 Electric Reliability Project

Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2025-06-27
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.*
*In some circumstances, extended hours and weekends may be required.
Roads Affected
This work will take place along W. Cisco Drive between Pritchard Road and Jones Road.
Project Objective
JEA crews are continuing working in your neighborhood upgrading and replacing portions of the overhead and underground electric infrastructure that serves your area. This work will include replacing any old or deteriorated wooden power poles with taller concrete strain poles, as well as installing new overhead conduit along the project route. Crews will also be installing new manholes and replacing a portion of the existing underground electrical conduit. Once completed, this project will provide for better power quality and reliability to the area.
Construction Conditions
Work will occur along the City of Jacksonville rights-of-ways and utility easements and will not include the individual electric meters for homes or businesses.
Proper vegetative clearance and/or tree trimming will be required along the project route around JEA poles and facilities to allow the project to move forward.
Residents can expect large utility trucks in the area as work progresses. Prior to placement, utility poles may be dropped off or temporarily staged in the public right-of-way. Customers may experience some detours and lane closures around the work area while this work is in progress. Traffic control personnel may be utilized to help direct traffic around the construction area.
There may be times when driveways are temporarily blocked while crews are working in the immediate area. Crews will knock on doors to provide time to move vehicles prior to blocking any driveways. Please observe all construction signs, detours and general directions provided by the crews working on-site.
Planned Power Outages
Customers may experience brief power outages related to this work. Advanced notification will be provided for any planned prolonged outages (lasting more than 1-hour).
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin soon after the project has been completed. Any existing grass, sprinklers, pavement, curb, gutter, driveways and/or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
