Wilson Boulevard Sewer Pump Station Improvement Project

Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2024-08-31
Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.*
*In some circumstances, evening hours and weekend work will be required.
Project Objective
A contractor working for JEA (Sawcross, Inc.) upgraded the existing sanitary sewer pump station located at 6217 Wilson Boulevard. This work included replacing necessary valving and piping at the station, upgrading the electrical components of the facility, and upgrading the building’s exterior when completed.
This project was necessary to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves your neighborhood. Failures to sewer systems can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way, roads, and easements.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically begins 2-3 weeks after the pump station construction has been completed and the station has been tested and cleared for use. Any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways and/or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
