Nicholson Road Water Main Extension Project

Project Objective
JEA crews will soon be working in your area to extend the existing water main on Nicholson Road from Holmesdale Road to Call Street. This water project is being completed and paid for at the request of a property owner on Nicholson Road.
Construction Areas
Construction will primarily occur in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way and easements.
Construction Conditions
Residents will be provided access to their driveways and will be permitted to drive (with caution) around the work area. There may be times when driveways are temporarily blocked while crews are working directly in front of homes or businesses. Crews will knock on doors to provide time to move vehicles prior to blocking any driveways. Please observe all construction signs, detours and general directions provided by the crews working on-site.
This work is not expected to impact your JEA electric, water or sewer service. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused by this construction work.
Nicholson Road & Homesdale Road - Temporary Intersection Closure
In coordination with Bishop Kenny High School and with their traffic concerns in mind, we are scheduling work at the intersection of Nicholson Road and Holmesdale Road to take place during the school's spring break to help reduce the impact on students and staff. For the safety of our crews and the public, the intersection will be temporarily closed while crews install the new water line. Please see the detour map below.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the water line has been installed. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
