JEA Daily Alerts Pilot Giveaway Official Rules

These Official Rules apply to the JEA $100 Daily Alerts Consumption Pilot Giveaway Promotion ("Promotion") being conducted by JEA. This Promotion begins Monday, April 29, 2024 at 8:00 AM (ET) and ends on Monday, August 26, 2024 at 11:59 PM (ET) (the "Promotion Period"). THIS PROMOTION IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW OR REGULATORY ORDER BY THE FLORIDA PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION. RECEIPT OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES DOES NOT CONSTITUTE ENTRY INTO THE PROMOTION. PARTICIPATING IN THE DAILY ALERTS CONSUMPTION PILOT DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.

ELIGIBILITY:

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS NECESSARY FOR REGISTERING, ENTERING, OR WINNING A PRIZE IN THIS PROMOTION. THIS PROMOTION IS OPEN ONLY TO JEA CUSTOMERS WHOSE ACCOUNTS ARE IN GOOD STANDING, HAVE A VALID JEA ACCOUNT NUMBER, AND WHO ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE DAILY ALERTS CONSUMPTION PILOT OR ENTER THE PROMOTION WITHIN THE PROMOTIONAL PERIOD.

“Participant(s)”: This Promotion is open only to legal residents of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands), who are 18 years or older at the time of entry, and who have entered into the Promotion by completing a survey on their experience with the daily consumption alerts pilot or by entering without enrollment by providing account holder name and matching JEA account number. Employees of JEA (permanent or temporary), its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, reward or Prize suppliers, and advertising and promotion agencies, including Administrator, and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children and siblings and their respective spouses) and individuals living in the same households of such employees are ineligible to participate.

HOW TO ENTER:

Participants must enter this Promotion by completing a survey on their experience with the daily consumption alerts pilot or by entering without enrollment by providing account holder name and matching valid JEA account number. Entries submitted through any method other than those as described in these Official Rules will not be considered valid entries into this Promotion. All registrations must be received by 11:59 PM (ET) on Monday, August 26, 2024. LIMIT: Only one entry permitted per JEA account number. All registration/entries become the property of JEA and will not be acknowledged or returned. By entering into this Promotion, each entrant agrees to JEA’s use of his/her personal information as described in JEA’s Privacy/Disclaimers website (www.jea.com/Privacy_and_Disclaimers) and in these Official Rules. In the event of any discrepancy between the privacy policy and these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall control and govern.

PRIZES:

“Prize(s)”: A total of FIVE (5) Prizes will be awarded to FIVE (5) Participants who have completed a survey about their experience with the daily alerts consumption pilot or otherwise entered during the Promotion Period as stated in these Official Rules. Each winner will receive a $100 stored-value gift card in physical or electronic format.

HOW TO RECEIVE A PRIZE:

Winning Participants will be chosen at random from among customers who have provided feedback via the survey tool during the daily alerts consumption pilot or otherwise entered during the Promotion period. After selecting winning entries, JEA will contact the Participants using the customer's account information. JEA will contact Participants via email. All awards will be under the direction of JEA’s Administrative Staff. Entries are declared made by the authorized JEA account holder at the time of entry submission. A Participant claiming a potentially winning entry may be required to provide JEA with proof that the Participant is the authorized JEA account holder for the address associated with the potentially winning entry.

AVAILABILITY OF PRIZES:

Promotion odds are based on the total number of qualified entries received. Only the above-referenced Prizes will be awarded in this Promotion.

NOTIFICATION OF WINNING PARTICIPANTS:

Each winning Promotion Participant will receive their prize with an electronic gift card using the email address provided in the customer's JEA contact information. Each winning Participant may be required to verify ownership of a winning entry through presentment of JEA’s notification of winning entry and valid photo identification. The Prize will be forfeited if the recipient is in non-compliance with these Official Rules or if the selected potential recipient cannot be contacted, provides incorrect email or mailing address, is ineligible, fails to claim the Prize by September 30, 2024, or if the Prize notification is returned as undeliverable. The winning participants will be contacted three (3) times, initially via email on file with JEA to claim their prize. In the event a winning Participant does not respond within seven (7) calendar days of the initial contact attempt, JEA will choose another winning entry from the pool of validly submitted entries received before 11:59 PM (ET) on August 26, 2024. Acceptance of a Prize constitutes permission for JEA to use winning Participant’s name, voice, likeness, along with his or her address (city and state); and the right to use and publish their entries, proper name, and any statements made or attributed to such winner (collectively, the “Attributes”) in any and all media, unless prohibited by law. This includes, but is not limited to, media now known or hereafter devised, without notice, review or approval, in perpetuity and throughout the universe for advertising and promotional purposes in connection with this Promotion without further compensation, and releases JEA from all claims arising out of the use of such Attributes.

ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

By entering this Promotion, Participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules. If any non-compliance with the Official Rules or failure to respond and execute and return the appropriate forms within the applicable time period noted in these Official Rules, it will result in forfeiture of the Prize and an alternate winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received. In accepting the Prize from JEA, winning Participants shall release JEA, and its officers, directors, and employees from any injuries, damages or losses of any kind including death that may arise out of the participation in this Promotion or out of the acceptance, use, misuse or possession of the Prize. The odds of winning depend upon the total number of actual eligible entries received.
