JEA Crews Continue Final Tropical Storm Debby Restoration Efforts

2024-08-06

Jacksonville, FL - As Tropical Storm Debby moves on from Northeast Florida, JEA restoration teams will continue working as quickly and safely as possible until everyone’s power is back on.

Since Sunday morning, JEA has restored power for more than 111,000 customers as of 2 p.m. Tuesday. During the storm, JEA did not experience any Sanitary Sewer Overflows or water quality issues.

“Safety is our number one priority for employees and our customers. On behalf of all of us at JEA, please continue to remain safe,” said JEA Interim CEO and Managing Director Vickie Cavey. JEA has worked throughout the year preparing for severe weather through significant investments to harden our electric, water and sewer systems; technology and facility upgrades, and tree trimming throughout our service territory.

Visit jea.com/storm for restoration updates and jea.com/outage to report an electric or water outage.
